Selection results have been published for applicants to autumn semester’s master’s programmes. The number of accepted applicants increased with 13 per cent compared to autumn semester 2019. Nineteen of twenty-eight universities have admitted a greater number of applicants to these programmes.

There were 35,434 qualified applicants to autumn semester master’s programmes, just over 11 per cent compared to autumn 2019. Of those, 27,613 were offered a place, compared to 24,391 for the autumn semester 2019, an increase of over 13 per cent. Just over 58 per cent of those offered a place were required to pay application and tuition fees.

A total of 19 higher education institutions have more accepted applicants to this autumn compared to autumn semester 2019. University College West increased the most percentage-wise – 48 per cent – while Uppsala University had the greatest increase in total accepted applicants, from 2,523 to 3,264.

Autumn semester courses and programmes start in August. Students should regularly follow the information provided by their university.
